James McDonald is a celebrated Irish lawyer. Mr. McDonald has been working as a Junior Counsel in the Bar of Ireland since 2006, focusing on courtroom advocacy and litigation and common law jurisdiction. He was Wexford’s Young Hurler of the Year for 2000 and played for the Dublin City University as a scholar-athlete.
Mr. McDonald is sometimes referred to as a “miracle man,” having fully-recovered from an accident he met almost two decades ago, where he was hit by a truck while waiting for their turn at a stoplight. He was a top player in his university’s hurling team and a member of the Wexford senior county panel. Seven years following the accident, Mr. McDonald had made a miracle comeback to his favorite sport, obtained a degree in journalism, worked with the “Sunday World,” studied law then became a barrister, and started working as a writer on a high-rating comedy satire show “Nob Nation.”
Mr. McDonald established his own consultancy business, fittingly named “Model Communications,” serving clients including key Fianna Fáil figures like former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
